About Amit Spitzer

Amit brings over 15 years of experience leading cutting-edge technology and security initiatives at startups and government agencies. Prior to joining Glilot, he served as CISO and DPO at Cato Networks and held senior roles at ControlUp, Dome9 (acquired by Check Point), and ClickSoftware (acquired by Salesforce). He also led national-level digital infrastructure projects under Israel's Prime Minister's Office. A former member of Glilot's Advisory Board, as CTO and CISO, Amit strengthens the firm's technological perspective across investment decisions and supports portfolio companies in areas ranging from security architecture to scaling and product growth.

Beyond his operating and investing work, Amit writes daily on cybersecurity, AI risk, and venture diligence, sharing a practitioner's perspective on LinkedIn, Medium, Substack, and X. His commentary draws on frontline experience building and defending security programs at high-growth companies, and on evaluating emerging technology from the investor's seat at Glilot Capital, the world's first cybersecurity-focused and AI VC.
